Overview
I am currently a sophomore majoring in Economics at the College of Arts and Sciences at Washington University. I hope to use my knowledge in economics to work in public policy or the private sector, but my experiences in the fast-paced field of sports journalism have also peaked my interest in the business of sports industry. As the Senior Sports Editor for Wash. U.’s student newspaper, Student Life, I have helped put together a newspaper biweekly, which has required me to work under many deadlines and strengthen my teamworking skills. Most importantly, leading my own section has improved my management skills while allowing me to craft my own collaborative leadership style. During my time as an intern for the Sports Information Department, I have refined my oral communication skills by conducting interviews with student athletes and coaches while also interacting with sports administrators.
